If you would like to calculate the amount of paint needed for a specific wall or space yourself, the table below shows the maximum coverage for each finish. Simply calculate the surface area to be painted, taking into account windows, alcoves, etc., then refer to the table to determine the required quantity.
For example, if you are purchasing paint for a room that measures 12 feet in length and 8 feet in height, multiply the two dimensions:
12 ft × 8 ft = 120 sq ft.
The values indicated correspond to one coat only. Actual coverage and the number of coats required may vary depending on application thickness, surface condition, and the extent of the color change (for example, going from a dark blue to a light white).
For optimal results and exceptional depth of color, we recommend one coat of primer followed by two coats of finish paint.
