Most products or components offer “Limited Warranties” against manufacturing defects as defined below. 25-Year Residential Warranty: ENGLISHCAST™ products are guaranteed for 25 years for residential use. 8-Year Commercial Warranty: ENGLISHCAST™ products are guaranteed for 8 years for commercial and professional use. Paint finish - 2-year warranty: The paint finish for the exterior of bathtubs and sinks is guaranteed for a period of 2 years. Sinks & accessories – 5-year warranty: Sinks and bathroom accessories are guaranteed for a period of 5 years. This Limited Warranty applies in Canada to Riobel Inc. and its affiliated companies under the House of Rohl family of brands (“House of Rohl”). House of Rohl brands include Riobel, Shaws, Perrin & Rowe, ROHL and Victoria + Albert branded products. Riobel's Promise - A "Limited Warranty" means that Riobel Inc. will, at its sole discretion, provide free of charge one or more components or a replacement product to replace those that have proven defective due to a defect in material or workmanship during the warranty period applicable to that product or component, as set forth above. This is the full extent of Riobel's obligation and liability. Riobel Inc. will not be liable for labor, transportation costs, or damages resulting from the installation, use, or repair of the product, or for any other costs or expenses. Proof of purchase (the original invoice) from the original purchaser must be made available to Riobel Inc. in the event of a warranty claim. The warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product, as long as the product remains in its original place of installation. Warranty Exclusions - This warranty applies exclusively to normal domestic use and excludes defects or damage caused by or resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidental damage or incorrect installation. IN NO EVENT SHALL RIOBEL INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES BASED ON BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. DAMAGES FOR WHICH RIOBEL INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: LOST PROFITS; LOST SAVINGS OR REVENUES; LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCT OR ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT; LOSS OF CAPITAL; COSTS FOR SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, OR SERVICES; DOWNTIME; CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES, INCLUDING CUSTOMERS; AND DAMAGE OR INJURY TO PROPERTY. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from province to province. In addition, the limited warranty does not apply to the replacement of components for which damage is due to normal wear and tear, including, without limitation, excess mineral deposits contained in water. Note: Avoid using any cleaning product containing abrasives, ammonia, bleach, or alcohol. These products may damage the finish. In addition, use only silicone-free caulking or plumber's putty during installation. Do not use lead-based acid-hardening adhesives or sealants during installation. Silicone caulking may also degrade brass components. The use of blue RTV silicone during installation automatically voids the product warranty. Due to the harsh weather conditions of sun, wind, rain, and snow, installing Riobel Inc. products for outdoor use voids the warranty. Disclaimer - Except for the express Limited Warranty contained in these terms, all warranties, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the applicable warranty period set forth above, or the applicable limitation period dictated by your province, whichever is shorter. Some provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and some provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. No Other Warranties - Unless amended in writing and signed by both parties, this Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties, superseding all prior oral or written agreements, and all communications between the parties relating to the subject matter of this Agreement, including any statements made by a sales representative. No employee of Riobel Inc. or any other party is authorized to make any warranty in addition to those made in this Agreement. Therefore, the Buyer is requested to read this Agreement carefully to ensure that it accurately reflects the terms that are important to their situation. Foreign Online Outlets – One of the benefits of the Internet is that it allows consumers to research and purchase products from previously unknown foreign companies. Unfortunately, some foreign distributors selling foreign versions of Riobel Inc. products have promoted these products for shipment to Canada. While the prices may seem attractive, these products were not designed for installation in Canadian homes, and serious problems can result. Riobel Inc. uses domestic distributors to ensure its products meet Canadian plumbing installation standards and are approved by the Canadian Plumbing Code. Riobel Inc. does not offer service, warranty, or customer support for products purchased from foreign distributors. Limited Commercial Warranty - Riobel Inc. warrants that its products installed for commercial use are free from manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original owner. FOR COMMERCIAL INSTALLATIONS, THE ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
