Maintenance
To maintain the beauty of your product, it should be cleaned using a mild soap, rinsed with clear water, and then dried with a soft cloth. Important: Do not use any abrasive, caustic, or acidic cleaners (such as detergents or products containing ammonia). Always rinse and/or clean the faucets immediately after using any cleaner on adjacent surfaces, including mirrors and ceramic tiles. The mist from these cleaning products can damage the finish of your faucets.
Warranty
ALT offers a warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance of the product, for as long as the original purchaser owns their home. The warranty is applicable only if the product is purchased from a duly authorized Alt retailer. It is not transferable and is limited to products sold and installed in Canada and the United States. OUR GUARANTEE FOR RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS • Limited lifetime warranty for ceramic cartridges. • Five (5) year warranty for all other types of cartridges (thermostatic cartridges, diverters, shut-off valves, etc.). • Limited lifetime warranty for the following finishes: polished chrome, stainless steel and PVD. • Three (3) year warranty for all other finishes. • Two (2) year warranty for electronic faucets and their components (batteries are not covered by our warranty). • Five (5) year warranty for all other ALT products or parts. FOR COMMERCIAL PURCHASES, the same conditions apply but the warranty is limited to five (5) years for multi-family residential applications, and two (2) years for all commercial or industrial applications, in each case from the original date of purchase. For the purposes of this warranty, the term “multi-family residential application” means an ALT product obtained from an authorized ALT dealer; by a purchaser who owns but does not live in the residential dwelling where the product is originally installed such as a single rented unit, or a multi-unit dwelling (duplex or townhouse), condominium, apartment building or community living center. “Industrial, institutional and other commercial premises” such as: hotels, airports, educational institutions, dormitories, long-term or short-term healthcare facilities, public spaces or common areas – are subject to the 2-year warranty. OUR FINISH GUARANTEE Polished chrome, stainless steel, and PVD finishes carry a limited lifetime warranty against defects. All other finishes carry a three-year warranty. Finishes applied to drains and normal wear and tear of a finish are not covered by this warranty. Normal wear and tear is the natural deterioration of a product resulting from use over time. It is strongly recommended that you carefully read the Alt product and finish care instructions or visit aquabrass.com/custom-finishes. OUR COMMITMENT We will repair or replace, free of charge, during the applicable warranty periods listed, any product, part, or finish that proves defective in material or workmanship under normal use and service. Replacement parts for discontinued products, whether under warranty or not, will be available while supplies last. During the applicable warranty periods, if the required product, part, or finish is no longer available, an equivalent will be suggested and provided free of charge. OUR WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS • Damage caused by installation error, negligence and misuse of the product. • Surface damage caused by the use of abrasive products, such as detergents. • Corrosion resulting from exposure to a chemically reactive product, such as chlorine. • Damage caused by hard water, limescale deposits or sediment. • Damage or loss resulting from a natural disaster such as fire, earthquake, electrical storm, etc. • Installation of any Alt product by an unlicensed professional. Any labor or transportation costs, or damage caused in whole or in part during the installation of the product, its removal, its reinstallation, its repair, as well as any occasional or consequential damage, expense, direct or indirect loss, arising from any cause whatsoever. HOW TO EXERCISE OUR GUARANTEE For all warranty claims, proof of purchase (copy of invoice) must be sent to our distribution center.
